Creating a New Universe: Metaverse

    Are you ready for your new life? Metaverse is a kind of digital space that represents us and everything. It also refers to online 3-D virtual environments through personal computing using virtual reality devices. 

    Nowadays, many leading brands such as Microsoft, NVIDIA and Facebook (Meta) are struggling to create a new virtual universe. They are creating tools such as VR, headsets and watches to enhance the feeling of everything. 

    This new alternative world has several advantages and bright sides. First, we get our avatars like a cartoon characters. Then, we enter the new world. One of the best sides of Metaverse is that we interact with people who aren’t physically near. Moreover, by new virtual reality tools, we will feel people although they are on the other side of the world. Users can also use messaging apps and video calls. A life-like universe allows people to go to a concert and experience a show with other real people inside the Metaverse. 

    There is a picture from Wall-E Pixar Animation Studios.  As we can see that there are people who are connected with a Metaverse-like application. In reality,  people from the animation don’t seem happy, unlike they just fulfil the basic things such as eating and sleeping. They might be addicted and forget the reality. This situation is one of the worst scenarios for humanity. On the one hand, Metaverse looks both interesting and useful. On the other hand, what will happen to our future-real lives? And the significant question is   What if we forget to be the real us? What if we get bored with our real lives and we become addicted to the new universe? I hope everything will be better with Metaverse.
