Brain: The Most Complex Organ

Brain is one of the most fascinating organs in our body. It has approximately 86 million neurons which help to our functions such as breathing and learning. Our brain is consist of 2 main places: the brain stem and the cerebellum. It has four lobes; the parietal, frontal, temporal, and occipital lobes.

Brain gyrus leads to communication with every neurons effectively. If the number of gyrus decrease, people will probably have a learning disability and thinking slowly. As long as people develop themselves with learning another foreign language, solving a puzzle or playing instruments, their neurons will become stronger. Moreover, people can prevent Alzheimer disease with this knowledge.

We differ from animals in terms of thinking and making a decision. Herculano Houzel clarified this that in the brain's cortex area, human has millions of neurons in there, unlike animals. For this reason, we have many difference between the animals.

We have several abnormalities about the brain. One brief example might clarify this sentence. For instance, a person who had brain surgery, when he opens his eyes for the first time, he can speak another foreign language he never heard this one. This very interesting incident has not any explanation yet.

There are 6 fascinating knowledge about the most complex organ:

1- Crying strongly and laughing strongly are the same thing according to the brain. When we are really happy, we can cry at the same time laughing because of the hypothalamus.

2- Yawning is really significant for the brain because it sends more oxygen to the brain. Neurotransmitters control this reaction.

3- The brain is split into two different areas, the human body is controlled opposite side of these areas.

4- The brain can not feel the pain. When a person has brain surgery, he is awake. For this reason, we don't need any anaesthetic matters.

5- When we die, our neurons stay alive for 3 minutes which use garnered energy to be active.

6- Our brain is similar to a 14 or 20w. 💡

Unfortunately, we have just discovered 14% of the brain. Provided we completely discover the brain, we will find the unanswered questions about us.
