Earthquake: How It Happens? How do we protect ourselves from it?

     Earthquake is one of the most dangerous natural disasters in our lives. From now on, billions of earthquakes happened. How earthquake happens?



   The earth has approximately 20 pieces to create 7 continents. Each of one those pieces are called "Tectonic Plates". The surface where these plates slip is called " Fault Plane" and the earthquake begin. Earthquake happen all the time but, lots of them are weak to reach us. However, some of them are really dangerous for the human race. There are one of the four dangerous earthquakes in history: 


 ◼ The place where the earthquake originates is 
called "Hypocentre".
 ◼ The place where it occurs on the Earth's surface is called " Epicentre".

    There are 3 main types of earthquakes which are:

1- Convergent Boundary: One plate is forced over another during an earthquake. This creates the hills and mountains
2- Divergent Boundary: Plates are drifted apart from one another. This creates the new ocean flows.
3- Transform Fault: The plates slip by one another which is also called " Strike-Slip".
💥Seismograph is used for calculating the magnitude of earthquakes.




  We have to protect ourselves from the earthquake to survive. There is a list that will help to protect yourself from the earthquake:

1- Make Your Home Safety: You should fasten up your furniture.
2- Protect Yourself During The Earthquake: you should drop the right place (onto your hands and knees) and cover your hand.
3- Create A Triangle Of Live: You have to create one with really strong furniture. It will definitely increase your the possibility of survival rate.
4- Keep Calm: Never leave the house during the earthquake.
5- Make Sure You Have Ways Out
6- Keep Away From Walls
7- After The Earthquake, Leave The House And Get The Right Information
8- Make Sure Your Family Is Safe

   Unfortunately, the earthquake is an inseparable part of our lives. We can not stop it but we can take action to deal with. Millions of people are dying because of this natural disaster. Government should take action to reduce the number of deaths with creating durable houses.
