Neuralink Brain-computer: Is It Good Or Bad?

      Do you want to live with a brain chip? Elon Musk's new invention Neuralink is a great and futuristic one. This tiny computer chip will be really beneficial for lots of diseases.


      Elon Musk who is a famous engineer, philanthropist and technology entrepreneur was born on June 28th 1971 in South Africa. When Elon was ten, he taught himself computer engineering and game designing on his own. He created a video game (Blaster) which sold for $500 in a magazine. Now, he is the founder of Tesla and SpaceX.


       


       In 2016, Elon Musk founded neural tech company Neuralink for the purpose of helping the human race. Neuralink's new device is a tiny sewing machine-like computer chip which is stitched by a robot into the brain using superfine electrodes. It collects signals from the brain to translate them as writing computer code. It looks like creating an artificial intelligence creature that consists of bones and blood. One of the greatest aims is to cure neurological conditions such as Alzheimer. It also helps disabled people to raise their quality of lives. Having a Neuralink chip is not quite hard- takes time similar to ordinary eye surgery. Pig Gertrude has a Neuralink implant that controls its snout. In pigs, this implant is working very well for now.


    Every new invention is both useful and detrimental. That new incredible implant has lots of beneficial features. Here is the list of the good side of the Neuralink implant:

  • Disabled people can control their prosthetic limbs easily.

  • You may transfer your music playlist into your brain.

  • Blindness, Alzheimer, memory and hearing loss, paralysis, depression, insomnia, pain, seizure, anxiety, stroke, and brain damage are not big problems anymore.

  • Neuralink chips are giving you a chance to control your Tesla car.


           However, that implant may be detrimental to your body in some ways. Here is the list of bad sides of the Neuralink implant:

  • Removing a computer chip may harm your body permanently.

  • Microorganisms such as bacteria come along easily.

  • Humans could download your brain onto a computer that is not safe for your personal information.

  • Electromagnetic interference may be detrimental to your brain and body.


    Neuralink is amazing for humanity in terms of helping psychological problems and disabled people. Nonetheless, it may also be dangerous for us. We do not know what the future holds but If we use this invention to overcome diseases, the world will be a better place to live. I want to finish this article with Elon Musk's quote: "If you get up in the morning and think the future is going to be better, it is a bright day. Otherwise, it's not."
